Healthcare and You

Obama's plan doesn't sound to bad. He doesn't make the employer make the employee switch there current health care provider. An insurance provider can't deny you coverage based on pre-existing conditions. The number of Americans that currently have been denied coverage becuse of preexisting conditions is 12.6 million. That's a really big number. Also companies won't be able to drop your coverage when you get sick. The number of people who got the boot when they got sick by their health care providers has risen 428% from 2000 to 2007. And there is much more that follows that. But the real issues isn't that Obama is the one proposing this health care plan but the fact that Sen. John McCain is for it and the Bush administration thought about it. We need change in are health care and we need it now. Everyone one gets covered and everyone gets happy

  1. What if the employer's care is much more expensive than the public option? People will drop their coverage and join the public option.

  2. I don't know exact details but what it sounds like to be is that employer's are going to automatically provide the employee with coverage. It seems to me like this would fall under employee benefits
